Replicant / LineageOS dual boot?

Hello,

I would like to install both Replicant and LineageOS in a dual boot configuration on either
S2 or S3.

Is there a way to do this, and if so, how does such a dual boot combine with future Replicant
updates and the weekly LineageOS updates?
