  Description

Hi, is the portable Wi-Fi hotspot disabled? When I try to enable it, the option grays out. I'm trying to share my Wi-Fi connection with another device, ultimately to share the VPN. I found some pages on reverse tethering, but I didn't find any information about a hotspot.

Internal WiFi is disabled in Replicant because the chip requires firmware which hasn't been liberated.
If you're using a supported external WiFi dongle, and hotspot doesn't work, it should, so it's definitely a bug. If so, please post your phone model, WiFi dongle model and Replicant version. Thanks.

Yeah, when I tried to enable the hotspot, I lost my wifi connection, and it doesn't reconnect very well; so I usually reboot to reconnect.

I have the Samsung GT-N7100 with the USB wireless N GNU/Linux adapter from ThinkPenguin.com, and that's connected to a Technoethical Nano OTG USB-microUSB Adapter. (https://tehnoetic.com/tet-otg) I'm using Replicant 6.0-0004-rc1.
